New energy vehicles in China refer to cars using unconventional vehicle fuels as power sources, including but not limited to pure electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, etc. These vehicles integrate advanced power control and driving technologies, forming a car with new technologies and new structures to achieve environmental protection and efficient driving methods. The emergence of new energy vehicles indicates that the automotive industry is developing in a more environmentally friendly and sustainable direction.
Under the pressure of energy and environmental protection, new energy vehicles will undoubtedly become the development direction of future cars. If new energy vehicles have developed rapidly, with the calculation of 140 million Chinese cars in 2020, it can save 32.29 million tons of petroleum, 31.1 million tons of petroleum, save and replace oil of 63.39 million tons, which is equivalent to reducing the demand for automobile oil by 22.7 %. Before 2020, saving and replacement of oil mainly relied on the development of advanced diesel vehicles and hybrid vehicles. By 2030, the development of new energy vehicles will save 73.06 million tons of oil, replace 91 million tons of petroleum, and save and replace the total of 16.406 million tons, which is equivalent to cutting the demand for car oil by 41%. At that time, biofuels and fuel cells will play an important role in automotive oil replacement.
Combining China's energy resources status and the development trend of international automobile technology, it is expected that by 2025, Chinese ordinary gasoline vehicles will only account for about 50%of the amount of passenger cars, while advanced diesel cars, gas cars, biofee fuel cars, etc. New energy vehicles will develop rapidly.
